This is free from RSPCA control and you can say what you wish

Since the RSPCA has torn down a very successful animal shelter from its foundations.

The Waipa District Council after getting quoted negatively in the news papers have actively been distancing from any bad press the RSPCA has brought onto itself by making false statements and streching the truth to fit their story. The RSPCA is beyond any law, they can do as they like. As a organisation they also have a responsibility to help and work with organisations especially their own. But the inspectors have grown outside their boots and think they are gods that can do as they like. Last month they got asurances from layers that would give expertise free of charge. All the moneys raised for the SPCA goes on over $100k salaries and flash cars for the directors and Inspectors to drive around the country site, not to mention all the air travel. Not much goes on animal welfare.

The fact remains is that the shelter in Te Awamutu is almost beyond saving. The bills are mounting up, the power is about to be turned off, the mortgage has not been paid and the the under managed business is not in very good shape.
On top of everything people that are wanting to adopt dogs are being turned away because the Inspectors have to OK any adoptions but are unable to work with the skeleton staff.

Red my adopted dog was sadly put down after
both the RSPCA and the Waipa District Council dog control officer ignored the rules set down in the Animal Welfare act.

We need to bring this unjust act to a close as the animals in Te Awamutu are getting a raw deal.

  1. its about time NZ got caught up with the times and evaluated dogs based on behaviour not breed.

The treatment of Dianne Gray from this organisation is disgusting. This woman has given her life, not to mention her home, and her bank balance to saving the unwanted animals of TA and surrounding areas.

Lets get behind her and support her after all the support she has given to those that can't speak for themselves

  3. Finally the press is getting behind the real story. The hip shooting RSPCA Inspectors are shoot first think a way out later and smear as much shit as possible as shit sticks. Well we are not going away ever this is a start to bring out the truth, the corruption of the RSPCA and why the top level people are really in the RSPCA. I tell you it is not to care for animals:

  4. This is amaizing one week the RSPCA kills 8 dogs in Te Awamutu the next week this statement in the Australian press?:

New Zealand SPCA commitment to save ALL healthy shelter- animal lives…
This is what Bob Kerridge, President of Royal New Zealand SPCA had to say in Rotorua at their Annual Conference where Nathan Winograd was invited as guest speaker :
“Our first step,” he said, “must be a commitment and an acceptance of the philosophy that saving lives is totally achievable. With that in place, the second step is to implement an infrastructure with each and every individual SPCA to achieve just that… The infrastructure involves ten initiatives, and the ultimate success of the program depends on the implementation of each and every of missions contained therein… by resolve and the rigorous implementation of the full program.”
He called it “Saving Lives,” a campaign to achieve a No Kill nation. He didn’t use the term “No Kill,” that wasn’t their language, but what did it matter. The underlying philosophy was the same: “Every life is precious” he said and for the animals, it was the job of the humane movement “to promote and protect their right to life and happiness.”

  5. this is what I posted in response to the Australian press article

I’m curious of this amazing work of the RNZSPCA….considering they are at this very moment working hard to close down one of the only SPCA’s in NZ to have a no kill policy for the last 18 years. Not only are they working hard to destroy all of the hard work of the volunteers of the Te Awamutu SPCA, they are trying to use the shelter manager as a scape goat. They had several dogs destroyed under this new no kill policy, dogs that had been vet checked, desexed and where appropriate microchipped. One of the dogs had been rehomed and was waiting to be picked up, when they decided to have the dog destroyed. Tell me, is this really the work of a wondeful organisation. I think not.

The only thing that this no kill policy is going to achieve is that the blood will not be on the hands of the SPCA, they will assign the dog over to the local dog control officer, where they will decide whether the dog should live or not, therefore when they decide to destroy the animial…is was not the work of the SPCA.

The RNZSPCA has become nothing more than another money hungry charity so the big wigs can keep their fat salaries.

  6. Much is happening with the RNZSPCA RSPCA or what ever they want to be called this week .
Many Volunteers on the societies are unaware of their rights and the straight that they have as a society. They cannot be told by the head office to go into administration . By having Head office take over the administration it open the door to an asset snatch .
There are many volunteers who deserve better support those who have turned the RNZSPCA into a greedy money hungry machine are there to feather their own nests and are not living in the true spirit of what the RNZSPCA has historically been.
If any branch or member society’s approached by so called national office to go into administration please contact me first Grace Haden http://anticorruptionnz.wordpress.com/

  7. Yes anticorrupt I have always said how can the RSPCA kick out elected members of a commitee without a process. It is like a Stalinist move in a democracy. Sorry to say the committee needs a kick up the bottom and take control!

  8. Grace, are you familiar with what is going on at the Te Awamutu SPCA? If not maybe its possible you can give Dianne Gray some assistance. I know she has had legal help but it doesn't seem to be getting anywhere with Head Office, they are just not responding from what I understand.

    Any info would be great.

  11. It appears as we all suspected, no charges are to be laid. In other words it was under false pretenses that the raid was done and the committee side lined. The RSPCA says it was the Waipe District Council that requested this to be done (wonder why? Vicky). The Waipa District Council says it was in response to complaints, Hhmm, there where none, now it is a glorified pound and the Waipe Dog Staff are doing the rounds there daily. Is it theft, theft of community owned buildings and facilities....You bet ya!

  12. And now Vicky is making her point even more by making Dianne feel like the only thing left for her to do is sell the house and move out of the area. Never in a million years did I realise this is the kind of place I came from. So very very disappointing TA!

  13. Do you mean Head Office inspectors, or SPCA inspectors generally when you say flash cars, shoot first and smearing shit?
